Magnetic Gear Invention (Frank Fecera's Permanent Magnet Motor patent reconstruction)

January 2013 Update:
Just to be clear, I do not claim that this device works, I simply read Frank Fecera’s patent and reconstructed it in a 3D modeling software. A rough version with a single vertical rotor was prototyped, and the conclusion is that this specific perpetual motion machine design appears to be non-functional in terms of infinite energy generation from the so-called “zero point field”.

I can’t say 100% that it does not work, because I only used one vertical rotor and tried only one magnetic field configuration (the patent covers many configurations). What I can say about it is that it seems to be a good method of scaling mechanical energy power in the same fashion as mechanical gear train. In other words, this generates no zero point energy, however it is a very useful mechanical engineering force multiplier technique. For example, it can scale 100 Newton force at 1 m/s to 200 Newton at 0.5 m/s, but no energy is gained. Build one if you’d like to find out for yourself.

Here I made a patent analysis video on an interesting PMM invention by Frank Fecera (http://www.google.com/patents/US6867514)

At the beginning of the video, the horizontal disk should not spin until after the gears are added (obvious, but potentially misleading). It gives a false impression as if the horizontal disc will rotate if you spin the vertical disc, but that is NOT how it works — you need 3:1 gear set for horizontal disk to spin (as shown later in the video).
